Who here is a fan of D151? I'm hooked on AIO'S and have neved tried this but am thinking about getting some. Just wondering how the cut and durability is.

I've been using xmt 360 but last night was reading so much good about d151 I ordered some to try. It's so cheap I couldn't say no just got a gallon on Amazon for 36 bucks free shipping with prime.

Cut I would put at a 7.5 out of 10 maybe an 8, protection 8. If you've tried XMT360 I'd put 151 right behind xmt for cut and just in front of it for protection.

Awesome. Yeah I've always been a fan of 360 but 151 is so much cheaper and I'm a huge Meguiars fan.

Yea the price is the biggest seller. Even if it was a little bit worse than xmt the price makes it worth it.

I use the 3401. Any suggestions as far as pads go?

I would have to disagree. D151 has a bit more cut than xmt360 (slightly less than ultimate polish with similar gloss), especially on a microfiber pad or even a white polishing pad. D151 is giving me 1 1/2- 2 months on the dd's that sits outside 24/7 with the 360 usually stretching to about 3 months. The XMT360 gives a higher gloss but offers less cut, partly due to the shorter working time. They both have their place but D151 is slowly becoming my go to,especially for harder paint on the dd's I work on on a regular basis (2 black tahoes and 1 black suburban, all sit outside 24/7)

Great stuff! HD Express is nice as well.

I used it for the first time a week ago and I feel in love. I used it with a white pad and it corrected very quickly.

You guys have any experience with the lc hybrid wool pads? Thinking about trying them out.

I use Meguiar's D151 and in fact just did a car using it yesterday. It's one of the best 1-step products I use, but to be honest, I find it more at home on a rotary than a dual action machine. I'm not implying it doesn't work well with a dual action machine, I simply feel it's better suited for a rotary...

Rotary - speed 4
Pad - Orange

Never used it but running low on PB polish w/sealent. Anyone use both and how do they stack up against one another? I really like the results I get with PwS but wanted to try some other AIOs. Figure since I have to order soon maybe give 151 a shot.

Well I have a honda Ridgeline that was used for Dd and a work vehicle driving for quotes for a home improvement business coming in tomorrow for a good cleaning as prep to list for sale. I'll do a 50/50 of d151 and xmt 360 and toss some pictures up when I'm done for anyone looking to see the differences.

I love it! I use it with orange and white pads on a rupes 21. I just wish it had a longer work time I only get about 4-5 passes out of it.

Try it out with on orange pad. I really liked the cut and finish I got out of it using my Rupes.

Are you noticing any hazing with the orange cut pads? I did my GF Buick Terraza with the pink pad and D151 and found hazing and almost buffer trails with it. Switching to a white CCS pad works wonders. Her van is deep maroon, i also found white ccs pads work awesome on red.

Well I haven't really done to much work with D151, but definitely have been learning the benefits of using an AIO.

The Orange pad is a light/medium cutting pad and the pink pad is a heavy polishing pad.

I wonder if the "heavy" part of the pink pad caused some of the hazing and wonder how a light/medium Orange cutting pad would have held up. :dunno:

Just do test spots and dial in your process. Instead of doing the entire car and taking it out to the an and saying dangit! :D
