I have recently been using Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel on my tires and applying it with a 2" paint brush, you can't say I'm putting it on too thin, but I do brush it around, so it's not too thick either.
During dry periods, it holds up great. Even after washing (rinsing and wiping, no soaps) it looks OK, BUT - after even a short drive in the rain, ALL the Gel seems to have washed off and the tires are now brown and discolored. They look like tires that have been neglected - never cleaned or dressed. Using a car wash soap on them does nothing and using a wheel/tire cleaner strips whatever (if any) protection that is left on them completely off and I have to start from scratch.
I DO want to switch over to McKee's, but until then, does anyone have any thoughts?
