I don't think that's chrome. It looks like it could be stainless or anodized aluminum. What type of vehicle and where is it?

Indeed it's not real chrome ( don't know how to call it ) it's aroud all the windows on a 2004 Volvo XC90.

I tried with PB Trim restorer, APC 10:1, Menzerna PO203...nothing was working. :(
Thanks. :dblthumb2:

I'd lean towards anodized aluminum. Since that's a thin plating, you 'll need to be careful not to damage it.

If it's water spots, try white vinegar. If you want to try polishing it, try a chrome polish instead of an aluminum polish.

If the anodize is failing, the only proper fix is to replace or reanodize the trim.

Thanks a lot! :props:

you also need to be careful as alot of the newer trim looks like chrome, but actually plastic underneath. I protect all with sealant since new, and seems to be easier than repair/replacement.

^^ Good to know, thanks.

It's my cousin's SUV and I think he never washed his SUV in 4 years...
The wheels were horrible.
