Meguiars Speed Compound is the right choice for any Pro or Weekend Warrior Detailer looking for an impressive solution for all of your compounding needs.

A Google search found nothing? Where did you read about this?

Interesting... M101 already cuts pretty fast as it brought this 1999 Trans Am back to life after it sat outside for 5 years in South Florida extreme weather...

Can't post a link, but lets just say they have a "solution" for "auto detailing" ;)

Reading this: "Use Meguiars M100 with your favorite microfiber pads for super-fast cutting results that polish out to a high gloss finish." makes me wonder if it's just a pro (read bodyshop safe) version of D300... maybe.

Wow nice find. This looks interesting and an 8 day ETA

Well, now that's interesting! It says it will be in stock later this month, and it's less than half the price of M101...hmm. I took a quick look on MOL and didn't see anything about it.

Edit: Has the same cut rating on the bottle as M101 and M105 "12--Extra Heavy Cut"

Since Mr. Phillips works for Autogeek, and since he did ask, there's no reason you can't post a link...or send him a pm. He can delete a link if he doesn't like it. Mr. Phillips and many others are aware of link posting rules here, but agian...he did ask.

He didn't ask that g26er post a link that violates forum rules, I think g26er answered properly given the circumstances.

I don't think anyone is having a problem figuring it out. But hey, thanks ;)

I heard JR was working on something to be introduced after SEMA this must be it...

I'll just shoot him an e-mail...

One thing for sure, in the detailing world, from what I've seen, the most popular products historically, currently and I predict into the future are paint related, that is,

  • Compounds
  • Polishes
  • LSP's

It's nice to have clean carpets in your car but it's the paint that makes or breaks the big picture...

And that's one of the reasons I've always gravitated towards the paint polishing aspect of car detailing.

:D

Sounds like someone got carried away or accidently listed that product in their store before Meguiar's has even announced it. If this was an accidental page inclusion, that avail date and the price could be wrong, too.

It seems to me this happened some years ago, I think it might have been Zaino, they were preparing web pages for some months in the future, and accidentally put an unreleased product on the live site, caused a stir for a few hours until it was removed.

Ahh....

My friend Grzegorz just sent me the link... it is on a competitor's site so no need for a link...

Looks like the chemists at Meguiar's have been keeping their nose to the grindstone...

The most important aspect of polishing paint comes down to,

  • Technique
  • The abrasive technology

Thanks Greg...

We'll have this in stock shortly. :dblthumb2:

It will be interesting to see where this slots in...it says it's for MF pads, and the intro price on that other site brings it in at less than M105 or D300; the list price isn't shown yet.

So, as I said, it will be interesting to hear from you two how this product slots in performance and price-wise between the other Meg's compounds.

So we've now got M100, M101 and M105 and they all seem to do the same thing, to a certain extent, so I guess I don't understand the product overlap.....enlighten me, someone.....HELP!

As interested as I am, I will wait for Mike's "official" review of this product to see how it compares to M101 and other products. From what I've learned is when a company brings out, or plans to bring out a new product it's usually to replace another. Any thoughts or news on this assumption?

Yes, it appears that other website may have been quite excited by yesterday's announcement to distributors regarding this new product - Nick here at Autogeek has stated that AG will soon have this product in inventory so obviously this isn't news to him (nor should it be!) but it is news to all of you. Heck, we haven't even quite made the official announcement about it on MOL just yet but will be doing so later on today.

Stay tuned - we'll have the full lowdown on this product for you later today.

Yeah, this is a good idea and it should replace something, I mean like I said we've got:

-M100
-M101
-M105
-Meg's UC

.......and those are just the most popular ones, LOL!
