I used megs nxt tech wax 2.0 today. I ended up working in full sun (mobile this was beyond my control). The wax would not dry to a haze even after 30 mins, started removing anyway and it just kind of smeared. Anybody have experience with this? I put it on with my Griots Garage polisher and a white lake country pad, removed by hand.

It won't cure if the metal is to hot. You need to find some shade to get it to cure. You could use a quick detailer to help remove it.

You have never had a wax not set up in sunlight and just smear around/melt? You are lucky IMO. Why do you suppose directions say " do not apply in direct sunlight"?

rops: I've had very thin coats just smear around on hot paint until the car was pulled into the shade, low and behold it sets and wipes away.
Maybe it has to do more with humidity?

I have had both problems bake and smear with 2 different waxes due to weather.
Try picking up a canopy for the mobile details to get the car out of the sun.

I have a canopy but it was having problems due to wind. I never thought about it being too hot to cure, i always thought you did not need to use it it the sun because it would get to hard before you removed it.
