I picked this product up as a part of a PBMG promo in exchange for a review. This weekend I did a much needed winter cleanup of my 2006 Dodge Ram truck and decided to give Meguiars Quik Air Freshener New Car Scent a try. I was curios to try this product out since the two air fresheners that I use are CG New Car Scent or CG Stripper Scent.

Meguiars Quik Air Re-Fresher New Car Scent

Thoughts and Use:

I sprayed about 3 sprays of the product inside my truck and was treated to a nice and pleasant "new car" type scent. The smell was a little strong at first but quickly dissipated. I was impressed with the way the aerosol was dispensed with the spray. No over application and very easy to control the product coming out. The following day I noticed that the interior of my truck still had a nice scent to it. Meguiars Quik Air Freshener so far has outlasted any other air freshener I have used in my cars. I will definitely be purchasing this product when my current bottle runs out.

The price point is decent considering you get 20 vehicle applications for $6.99.

Good review. I have used mine a couple times. Lasts about 2-3 days for me before it needs another refresher.

I'm not a big car scent fan, but this makes me want to try it!

I knew one of your favorite scents was "stripper scent"

Just an update to the thread. I applied this early Saturday morning and got in my truck to head to work this morning and the scent was still there. Still going strong after 2 days.

I got to test out 1 of these last Thursday @Meguiars.. I went with the leather scent. I sprayed between 2-3 sprays 2ft. away onto my floormatts. The leather scent is a bit weird, it's not that it's bad, I don't mind it, but I'd be cautious before spraying leather scent in a customers vehicle without their approval. IMO leather scent can be a bit hard to nail. I think just about all leather scented products are hit & miss...

Just as the others have stated, it lasts 2-3 days. This product would be ideal for maintenance washes/details on customers vehicles and also the cars at home. I'll be picking up the New Car Scent, I really like that 1.

If this has any of the attributes of the 'fog version' the scent will last for quit a long time.

I used the fogger (new car scent) about 2 years ago, and it lasted for almost a year! Not real strong just a nice 'background' smell.

Everything about it smells & looks the same coming out of the can, but it won't go past 2-3 days. It's either because you're only doing 3 sprays at a time [I did 9-10 across all my matts] or it actually is somehow different from the fogger.. My guess is there has to be something different between the 2. But once you use these new little cans you see how they're totally worth getting.

Good info...thanx!

Update: Going on 4 days since application and the scent is very faint and has pretty much dissipated. Still like the New Car Scent and will be purchasing more when this can runs out.

I am giving one of these to my Mom, as she recently acquired a Jeep from her mom and she smoked it it. I got most of the smell out using Zorbex and an extractor. Still a faint odor after parked over night. Maybe Meguier's will come to the rescue.

I think I might get this one as well, to be honest CG scents are like cheap colognes! They smell so good but they last for short periods!

Let us know if it works.

Seems to have worked well. I saw her yesterday and asked if the smoker smell had returned and I was told "Nope, just smells like a box of crayons now."

Thumbs up Meg's

Right on. And thanks for the update.
