Meguiars silicone free dressing

So I have a question on application of this product. I purchased lake country tire applicators and a gallon of meguiars silicone free dressing. I applied to 2 vehicles dry tires by spraying about 4-5 times into the applicator and rubbing. About 20mins later it almost didn’t look like I put tire shine on. I sprayed some directly on the tire and wiped with the lc applicator and it was shinier. What is the “correct” or best way to apply this dressing? I used to use optimum tire gel but figured I’d give this a shot.

The best way to apply that dressing, or any liquid tire dressing is to spray into a tire brush and then brush it into the tire.

This brush will work.
