I used Solo Cut & Polish Cream #86 on bright-trim by hand and the result was awesome. Can I use a polisher with this product on installed trim and paint?

Then what should I look for in a nice light-weight easy-to-use polisher?

I used M86 in 2006 on an old Dodge 2-door using only a simple Porter Cable 7424 with the BETA versioin Meguiar's Microfiber pads way before they were launched in 2011.

Just use like you would use any quality compound. The most important 2 things....

1. Do a TEST SPOT to a section of paint before buffing out an entire panel or the car. Make sure you're not getting any DA Haze as DAT products can be kind of finiky on some paint systems.

2. CLEAN YOUR PAD OFTEN.

I have article on this forum on both the above topics and cover both topcis in detailing in the Complete Guide to a Show Car Shine.
