Gave this stuff a try on some hazy headlights I was really impressed. I had tried meg's plastx and didn't do much on these same lights. Yes I know the camrys paint is awful 😝

Meg's Ultimate Compound gives a decent cut and a good finish. If I was to judge OTC compounds based strictly on performance, Megs UC would be the top choice. Plastx is really good too on headlights, and in my experience, works well on light oxidation. (It is supposed to have some UV protection too.) Where it performs well is a one step, because it features a diminishing abrasive technology, where you can get some decent cutting, and a final polish all in one. I usually use Plastx on scratched up cell phone screens, navigation panels, and instrument cluster protectors.

Image of a headlight I recently finished with Plastx:

That looks great ! Interesting idea about the cell screens I'll havt to give that a try sometime

IME plastx works well on head/tail lights but leaves some faint micro-marring on the more scratch sensitive plastics. I would opt for a lighter polish first and see where that goes...

btw, UC works really well with the DA and is under-rated IMO...

:iagree: I'd venture to say, grossly UNDERRATED!
