Around April, I applied Meguiars cleaner wax then immediately topped the paint with two coats of UPW on my sister 2012 focus. She was going on a trip and wanted her car Protected, didn't have much time and gave this combo a try. The car stayed 70percent outside and 30percent in a garage. And being in Arizona, the paint gets hammered. It's been six months and the paint still beads, still feels slick and using the blower still removes 97% of the water. I believe its an under rated product as I'm amazed with the durability. You also can't beat the smell!!
Pics from two hours ago, right after a major rain.

How is that UPW as far as trim staining and general residue? Aside from #16 and #26, I've found all the Meg's LSP's to be a PITA in that regard (other than D301).

Meguiars upw will not stain trim and wipe off is EZ

Another good combo is Meguiar,s cleaner wax first then NXT but NXT will stain trim

I thought NXT has cleaners in it as well (hence the staining effect)? And if I am right then whatever wax you put on with the first step, will be severely disrupted if not removed when you perform the second step.

-I've had similar results using the 'Liquid version'...with more of the sheeting-action
that these types of synthetic-wax renditions from Meguiar's are noted for.

('Beads' have their place; but I prefer them not to be on my vehicles.
That's just me, I suppose.)

-I totally agree with your saying that:
I believe its an under rated product

-And thanks for sharing your Meg's Ultimate-experience/photos!

NOTE/Inquiry:
Have you tried Meg's Ultimate Quik Detail/Quik Wax yet?
I really like these products as well.

I put ultimate on august and still going on strong. It does not stain trim and is an easy on easy off application. I really like it

My wife has a pearl white Subaru and the UPW makes the car 'glow' for lack of a better word, looks awesome on that car. I like the product a lot however have had the streaking on my car (black) and for that reason don't use it other than on her car. My dad used it on his silver G6 for a while and loves the glow. He has been using Fuzion but is planning on going back to UPW once his Fuzion is tapped he liked it so much.

I LOVE ultimate quik wax. Makes my truck look like it was just waxed!

This is really a great LSP. I have both liquid and paste forms, and prefer the paste, but the liquid is excellent. As long as the liquid is put on thin, no streaking for me on my black, or red cars. From what I have read at MOL, any streaking should clear up within 24 hours as the polymers settle in and cure.

I would say pretty close to Collinite 845. Maybe not quite there, but close. I get 3 months out of it, and then reapply, but it certainly has life at 3 months. I would guess a solid 4 months if good prep is done prior to application. What I really like is I can use UQD and UQW, and not change the look of my LSP. Plus, they really help extend the life. Meguiars Ultimate line is really on par with just about anything out there for the money. Throw in some ColorX for your cleaner wax, and you are in pretty good shape.

One thing to keep in mind is that even though UPW is called a "wax", its really a synthetic sealant in paste form - like Finish Kare 1000P.

I applied UPW to my 11 Highlander today. Easy on easy off, smells great, nice shine and gloss, very slick. Impressed; now let's see how long if last.

Right there with #845? I bought the ULW last winter and never really checked it out :dunno: I definitely love meguiars everything, ill take your word on this one! Thanks kris:xyxthumbs:

Per Nick at Meguiar,s NXT has 0 cleaner,s in it

They continue to say that, then they say it has ingredients to help it bond.

Fact is, it acts like it has cleaners in it, it will remove tar and other bonded containments. If it quacks like a duck....
