This week I have another review of two products. The two products I will be reviewing are Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Wax & Mothers Foaming Wheel and Tire Cleaner. (Also a mini review on the Meguiars X3002 Microfiber Wash Mitt)

Meguairs Ultimate Wash and Wax (
Meguairs Ultimate Wash and Wax)
I got a Meguiars "starter" pack a few weeks back and finally able to put it to use.

Packaging:
Thick plastic see through bottle. Easy to use push top for dispense product. Label is black.

Product: Yellow. Has a pleasant "sugar" like scent. The texture is a thicker syrup.

Subject car... My 2001 Honda Prelude.

I mixed 2.5oz with 2.5 gallons of water. (The directions call for using 1oz for every 1 gallon. I can say that 1 oz for about every 2 gallons would be OK. As I used it again after this review with a more watered down solution. Still same results!)

Plenty of suds!

Again, this wash will also be including the Meguiars X3002 Microfiber Wash Mitt (Meguiars X3002 Microfiber Wash Mitt)

Pros:
Smells good. Great lubricity and cleaning ability. It does leave a nice "wax" look afterwards to make an existing wax pop more. Easy to find & the price!

Cons:
None

Final thought: I think this wash is fantastic and does everything it claims. For the price and the ability to walk into almost any big box store makes this a wonderful product!

A scale of 1-10 ........ I would give it a 9.5

Meguiars X3002 Microfiber Wash Mitt

Final thought (review) on the Meguiars X3002 Microfiber Wash Mitt.. It holds a good amount of water/soap. It has a nice slot for your hand to go in and it feels comfortable while washing. For the price, $5.99, it can't be beat!
A scale of 1-10 ........ I would give it a 9.5

Mothers Foaming Wheel and Tire Cleaner

Mothers Foaming Wheel and Tire Cleaner (Mothers Foaming Wheel and Tire Cleaner)

Packaging: Medium thickness plastic bottle with foaming sprayer. Red label.

Product: White. Sweet/candy like scent. (It seemed to turn pink/red as it was cleaning. My wheels weren't filthy so it was just a slight pink)

Dirty Wheels....

Front: Wide

Front: Close

Back: Wide

Back: Close

Mothers Foaming Wheel and Tire Cleaner working on the wheels... (I did not use it on the tires as I still has some Meguiars endurance gel on there. I will use it on some dirty tires some to really test it out, will update then.)

All cleaned up!

Front Clean: Wide

Front Wide - Before & After: A very nice clean look!

Pros: Smells Great, Good Price, Works Great!

Cons: None

Final thought: Fantastic! Works just as I had hoped and left the wheels looking great. The foam sprayer works great to apply the product perfectly. I would purchase again.

A scale of 1-10 ........ I would give it a solid8

All done! :)

Awesome review!! What tire dressing do you use?

Sent from my Nexus 4 using AG Online

Once again excellent review, and nice results too I also like how you will do a write up/review on two or more products at once keep up the good work.

Great review, that prelude looks so good! How many miles on it?

stemyx - Thank you! I like Meguiar's Endurance Gel right now. However AGO doesn't sell the gel I like. It gives a nice glossy shine that last truly for weeks. I have that in the plans to do a nice review on soon.

jamesboyy - Appreciate it sir! I have so many products... to catch up I figured I'd do two reviews per week/post for now.

shagnat - Thank you!!

Sicoupe - I got it brand new in 2001. Put all of the 172,xxx miles on it. Sadly it was my hardcore DD for years so it's up there is mileage but still drives like new. Thank you for the kind words and very nice SI. I love that color, hardly ever see that!

Thanks for the review. Love the car! Wish they still made a prelude/integra/rsx...

Great review, man. Thanks for taking the time to do all of that. Megs' UW&W is what I use here in NY when we get the rare 40 degree day during the winter, and I can sneak in a real wash. I think the results are more than satisfactory for an OTC product.

Thanks for taking the time to post. It would be much more helpful if you could do reviews on dirty cars however.

skubasteve! - Thanks! Tell me about it. They killed out of the great models!!

PaulMys - Couldn't agree more! It's a wonderful product. I was a little hesitant with the added wax feature but it preformed well. Thanks as well! :xyxthumbs:

artofdetailing - Thanks...? I believe my car was more than enough dirty to review both products. I will keep your comment in mind though. :dblthumb2:

Brian, I'll tell you this: When I wash my truck (as per my above post) it is usually pretty nasty from road salt, grime, etc. After a good hose blast to remove the bulk of debris, the Meg's works really good, IMO. (This is after I have prepped & waxed w/ Collinite #845 in the fall for my winter layer, of course.) :xyxthumbs:

I like the Meguiar's Wash and Wax as well, and use it sometimes in my maintenance wash, followed by Ultimate Quik Wax for drying.

It's great, no doubt about it, but the con I've found is that you need too much to achieve the same slickness for a safer wash compared to others I've used (like chemical guys soaps).

If it was slightly more concentrated, It would be a no brainer.

Before start washing, I foam the car (with the same soap) and rinse well, then I foam again and use the buckets.

That said, I would skip using this soap because of cost/benefit. The (I believe discontinued) chemical guys wash and wax does the same with much, much less product.

Apart from that, CG W&W lacks the 'luxury' part Meguiar's W&W offers, mainly product appeal, appearance and smell.

Thanks for reviewing,

Kind Regards.
