Toyota RAV - Menzerna
This white paint on this RAV was in fairly decent shape. The hood had swirls and the usual scratches all around that most DD’s have. I wanted to try out my Menzerna polishes and the sealing wax so I did. After the wash and dry I broke out my PC, the 6” Blue Edge pad and the Menzerna Intensive Polish PO 91E to take care of the paint correction. I started in the garage because it says to not use this in direct sunlight. So I followed the rules for half the vehicle and then of course I broke the rules (I know, bad girl) to see test it in direct sunlight. I didn’t see any difference at all. There was some light dusting in both cases and the direct sunlight buffing was just as effective as the garage application. The results from this polish were outstanding. It took care of the swirls and any other scratches or flaws that it encountered. This polish will leave white marks on black trim. I came back with a touch of XMT360 on the black trim in the few places that it touched and it cleaned right up. The best part was that there was no hazing and the paint was left very slick and glossy. There’s nothing fancy about this polish it’s very straightforward; it’s white and has no fruit or exotic scent whatsoever. It was designed to do a job and it does quite well in my opinion.

Next up was the Menzerna APO 60. I rubbed this yellow unscented wax between my fingers and found it to be very smooth but I could feel a subtle hint of a light polish in it too. I used my 6” Red Edge pad and applied it to the RAV in the garage. It spread easily and a little goes a long way. After working it I waited about 5 minutes then buffed with a Cobra MF and found no residue at all. This wax really enhanced the already smooth and glossy finish that the IP left behind. It left the white paint reflective and gave it a wet gleam. I want to use it a few more times and see the durability before I’m certain that this is a winner but so far it’s off to a impressive start for me.

Nice Job Al, I justed order some Menzerna APO 60 last night.

Great job. The white look good. Especially the 4th picture tht really captured the gloss. Does the Menz APO 60 feel slick on the paint like other waxes?

That white must be hard to look at in sunlight..shiny

Do you use XMT360 on trim??

Yes. It feels like a baby's behind. It's very slick it gives good gloss.

Truls, today is our third day in a row of 100% sunshine. It was hot and sunny yesterday and yet I thought I was going snowblind. I really don't like detailing white vehicles. I'll take red, blue or even black anyday. I do not use XMT360 on the trim. I just used it to clean the polish off the trim.

Looks great!:applause: Have a question. Is that chips in the glass?
I like this pic the best.
The reflection of white.

Looks like light coming in through the tree to me.

The Menz looks good on the white, I may have to try some, so you did not use the final polish?? Just went from IP straight to the wax?? Is the edge blue pad the same as the LC white pad?

Yep, IP straight to the wax. As far as pads I've only used the Edge system. I'm pretty sure that the white LC and the Blue Edge are equivalent to each other but I'm not positive on that so I can't confirm. Hopefully someone on the forum will jump in and answer this question for both of us. Anyone??

Can't wait to get my hands on the Menz wax I just ordered, I'm liking those results.

That's the way that I've always thought Al.
white LC=blue Edge
blue LC=white Edge

Thanks for the confirmation, Jimmie. I certainly don't want to pass bad info out to others on the forum. :)
