Menzerna PO85RD after M205?

Would Menzerna PO85RD (SF-4500) amp the gloss fom Meguiars 205 ? I have a Midnight Blue '07 Tahoe and it is so dark, it may as well be black and I want the metal flake to pop. It's a garaged vehicle, but a daily driver. Topped with Klasse high gloss sealant glaze and Meguiars Gold Class carnuba paste wax.

I'm not at all unhappy with M205, just wondering about an even better finish.
 
I've gotten just as good results with M205 as 85rd and its sooooo much faster.
 
Have you tried 205 with a finishing pad? Do a test section with a finishing pad and 205 and see if it makes it pop more.

Great suggestion. I used a LC white CCS pad, but didn't try one of the no-cut gray ones. Got to give it a shot, thanks.
 
I think that's tough to say?

One member here commented about SF4500 not but a couple days ago, where it was said that there wasn't much of a difference seen, until stepping back, and looking at the vehicle, that there was an improvement of the overall "look". I can't argue that!

I've found Menz SF4500 is an ultra ultra fine polish, but I've also found Meguiars 205 is also a really great finishing polish too. Perhaps the best advice is "have them all!" LOL

It may be akin to like folks when they speak about cleaning vinyl records.
They talk about cleaning a record once on a record cleaning machine (RCM) with one cleaner, then using another cleaner, and the results were quite improved with the different cleaner.

Whereas, a simple follow up with the same firstly used cleaner may have provided the exact same results.

Without scientific laboratory testing, who knows?

I would suspect micro-marring can be instilled with any polish, it can be Pad, and/or user-technique dependent.

I think both products are good to have in any serious detailer's arsenal. I have both, and will keep both as both products I feel are outstanding.

Since you have finished this step with white and M205, move on to SF4500 and a gray pad for that extra pop.

I would equate M205 to SF4000 in terms of polishing ability and gloss. For that added depth and gloss yes SF4500 will give that wet look you are after.

I agree. I was under the impression the OP didn't have SF4500.

I don't have the Menzerna and wanted to save the money if it isn't an advantage as I'm already going broke with supplies !

If I could take the OP original question a step further, would SF4500 be a good follow for M105? I have M105, M205 currently, and SF4500 coming this week. Bought the Menz because I hear it is good on Benz hard clear coats and I'm hoping to do a couple MB's for some friends in the near future. Sounds like M205 is closer to SF4000 so I am thinking M105 followed by SF4500 would have just a little better final finish.
