I currently own PO85RD and i absolutely love it. Ive been wanting to try other menzerna polishes and my question is, what would be a good follow up to m105? Super intensive polish or power finish? Ive read nothing but good reviews about those products and have seen alot of people use them as a 1 step polish. I love m205 but id like to try out menzerna's polishes. Any tips are appreciated.

I love SIP but I think PF is a more rounded product and will finish out better as a one stepper. They are very close.

Hey Oscar,

I really like the Menzerna Line! :props:

Meguiar's M105 to me seems a little less aggressive than Menzerna Power Gloss PO34A. That said I think I'd follow it up with Menzerna Power Finish PO203S.

A nice substitute for Meguiar's M205, which is a really nice polish, is Menzerna Super Finish PO106FA. This polish finishes up beautifully and once completed be prepared to be WOW'D...

Not to hijack the thread but I used some Menzerna products last Sunday and took some photos so I thought they'd fit right in here.

This past Sunday I was working on a 2011 Hyundai Elantra. The car was only purchased 3 months ago new and the paint on its horizontal surfaces was really dirty.

I took a shot of the results using Menzerna Super Finish PO106FA last Sunday. I just started buffing it off with a Microfiber towel and even though there's a few dust particles I think you'll appreciate the results.

I tried to take a good photo but this paint has a really weird flake that reflects light at odd angles.

If using 105 and have 085rd , I might suggest Nano ... SIP is a bit more aggressive.

I would look into Prima Amigo if you want to try SIP to me it cuts like SIP finishes better and not finicky. I like P203 the more I use it, for a DD it finishes down LSP ready

Thanks Oscar! :props:

Menzerna PO106FA has some cut to it but finishes to a beautiful shine. PO106FA is designed to remove sanding grit up to 2500. I'll use this with a white and gray pad.

Menzerna PO85RD has almost no cut to it but finishes to a brilliant gloss. PO85RD is designed to remove sanding grit up to 3000. I'll use this with a blue and red pad.

GOT IT! :) i think im going to save up and buy super intensive polish, power finish and 106FA. All three sound like great products and since no clear is the same, im sure every polish will have its place in a situation. Thanks alot for the info! Once again, BobbyG is the man! :)

106FA and 85RD are the same but 106FA has more of the abrasives in it. You work it a bit longer but finish should be the same as 85RD.

Sounds bad but I chose the 106FA b/c it came in 16oz as opposed to 32oz. I've yet to use it actually since i used Power Finish as a one stepper for my first polish...

Gorgeous work BobbyG! Did you find the paint to be pretty hard? My mother has a 2009 Elantra and I thought the paint was pretty tough. Last year I thought I would go over and do a quick 1 step with M205 to knock down the DISO then seal it, only problem was that M205 didn't touch it. I ended up going M105/M205. By the way, in the last pic the car looks like it was dipped in paint it's so wet looking! :props:

I have used power Finish on the Megs MF cutting and finishing pads for 1 steppers and came out with great results.

Hey Richard,

Thanks for the complement! :props:

I found the finish to be very hard but I was also surprised my the number of small chips in the hood from road debris.

The finish was in decent shape and Menzerna Power Finish PO203S worked pretty well at removing the majority of surface defects. Menzerna Super Finish PO106FA took it up a nice notch and made it very glossy which is what I was looking for.

If I had thought about it Meguiar's M105 would have moved things along allot quicker, I'm sure if it! :props:

I was trying to really clean up the paint to get it looking good so I could apply a couple of coats of sealant. The car did come out nice and the customer was very pleased.
