I used Menzerna Power Gloss with a LC yellow flat pad. Seems like it was clogging my pad up quickly, it shoot out little balls of compound. Clean the pad surface with brush everytime I applied fresh product, put a dime to a quarter size of product, and it does it again. Is this normal? Seems like it dries out quickly.

from what I gather, power gloss is the least favourite heavy compound out there. I used Power finish today and it was superb though

I'll probably get flamed for suggesting this but maybe you could mix some power finish into your power gloss? Might extend the working time a bit.

i seem to recall post on here where a guy had a lot of power gloss left and didn't want to waste it so he was trying to add all sorts of stuff like mineral oil, baby oil, other polishes, etc to make it behave.

Are you priming the pad? I use pinnacle pad conditioner with Powergloss and have had great results with very long working times. The only time its ever really dried on me is if I was dry buffing. Also the clumps are probably from either using too much product, dry buffing or not cleaning the pad frequently. Try using a pad conditioner before giving up on it.

What type of car are you working on? DA or Rotary? From the problems you have having, it sounds like you are working on sticky clear.

I'm also experiencing the same thing with most polishes... The heavier the compound, the faster it does this. I even experience this with M205 and a white LC pad. I think it's probably the desert heat or something... I would love to hear expert's opinions on this.

:iagree: I use the pinnacle pad conditioner and the powergloss and it works great. The pad does build up some but nothing a cleaning or switching pads doesn't fix.

I have always had their products powder A LOT! Kinda annoying but a good polish. I believe it's just how they are made and you just have to wash the car off after you polish. Anyone think it's not the product?
