My windshield seems to get dirty very fast and things stick to it.
I have seen people mention they use power lock on their windshield but what are the steps before?
I was thinking of glass cleaner and then some 0000 steel wool, then power lock.
Would it work well?

It s also used on headlights as I read lately , Don t know about it on windshield yet .

Question to Nick : How bout some CarPro Ceriglass , don t know much about it .

Power Lock is designed for paint. While it won't harm glass in any way, it simply won't bond. Durability will be measured in days.

Consider a dedicated glass sealant like:

Pinnacle GlassCoat Window Sealant with Rain Repellent

Griot's Garage Glass Sealant 8 oz.

GTechniq G5 Water Repellent Coating 100 ml.

While not designed for glass, there was testing here that showed it bonds VERY well with glass. I'm not saying it's a good idea, but it's pretty hard to deny the results of this informal and unscientific testing.

Ceriglass is a polish. It has no sealing abilities. You can use it to polish the glass first, then seal for better durability of the sealant.
