I thought I was ready to buy the XMT 360 but between the sale and the new discussions I'm on the fence. Any suggestions/preferences?

I really like Menzerna products, especially PO106FF, but even with that in mind I'll tell you XMT 360 is a must for any detailer's arsenal.

I agree with supercharged. I love my 360. But it depends on what machine you're using.

I haven't tried 360 but it's getting great reviews here...however, Menzerna has made a true beleaver out of me and I'll be using Menzerna for a long time 106FF, 85RD3.01, Final Polish II are some of my favorite. I'll probably purchase 360 soon to try it out.

Can menz products only be used with a rotory?

No, they can be used with a PC (DA) but it just takes a little longer for them to break down that's all. If you ever used Optimum, it's the same thing. From what I've heard you will get good results too...I'm not sure I haven't used Menzerna products with a PC..oh actually I've used Final Polish II with my Cyclo and results were impresive :awesome:

so then they are designed to work with a rotory, right

I use Menzerna only with a rotary, I've seen the products do some amazing stuff...really good products and works great with a rotary.

So yes, Menzerna can be used with a rotary.

Thanks for the replies. I will be using a PC on a black 2002 Dodge Ram. Any suggestions on sealant/wax combinations would also be appreciated.

natty's blue and natty's red both look great on black. If you want to step up to the big dog than you cant go wrong with pinnacle souveran.

You may want to consider either RMG or Menz glaze in between the 106 and the wax.

If XMT 360 is a must, under what circumstances would you use XMT 360 and when would you use Menzerna over XMT 360?

Menzerna works easily as well with a PC and Cyclo polisher. They are diminishing abrasives that seem to break down with time versus heat which is why rotaries are often given the shake.

Use Menzerna with the PC and rotary, both give excellent results. Have used all Pinnacle, Poorboys waxes and wg sealant. All of them look awesome on top
of Menzerna.

On black Id go with whatever polish you want, XMT, Men., etc., RMG is optional, then top with Sig. Series II, or Souveran paste.

I think Sig. Series II looks better on black then Liquid Souveran.

Perhaps, but then again, a rotary will do a better job with any cut

I'm new to detailing in terms of using a PC, let alone a rotary; almost a year now
That said, I've been using Menzerna since I first broke into the PC. I have four of the Menz polishes; -PO85RD, PO85RD3.00, PO85RD3.02, and PO106FF-

3.02 has been my goto product for most part. It has the longest working time than the other 3, plus it can finish LSP ready

I guess its longer working time is the key for success with a PC. I've been doing this primarily on Corvettes, and F-bodies -known for their hard clearcoat- with great results

I also have heard good things about the XMT-360 and I agree, it sounds like a product you'd want to have in your arsenal

At the moment, or at least until next year all I have is my PC. I hope to get my hands on a Cyclo, Makita, or Metabo as I enhance my detailing skills :)

XMT 360 is a pad dependant product. I use it as a one-stepper where I can can paint correction and protection. Kinda like a cleaner wax.
Menzerna on the other hand works well on hard clear coats (domestic, and German), I'm talking about PO106FF, that's the only one I used up to date from it's Pro-line.
PO106FF is a must from Menzerna pro polishes, so why not get both of them?
