I have only used one metal polish, Mothers, because it works and is readily available.

I have been looking at WG polish with interest. Mostly because it offers a compound and fine polish. I have also been looking at Optimum.

My question is: What is your go to metal polish?

Eagle One NEVR-DULL. If it's made of metal, NEVR-DULL is safe to use on it. It's cheap, it's easy to use, it never goes dry in the air-tight container, and it cleans very well.

Mine is Semi-Chrome, once offered here. Mother's Billet Polish is known as one of their best. Wolfgang gets great reviews as seen on some show and shines. Go with the top end polishes and hard to go wrong.

I still find myself in love with English Custom Polishes, the Showman and Custom polishes rock. I will say the WG polishes are very good and very close. I would choose both over Simichrome and several years ago it was my fav.

:whs:

Nevr-Dull has been my first-shot metal polish for decades, polished aluminum, chrome or whatever. If something stouter is needed I always used Wenol red or Flitz but found that Megs Mag Wheel & Aluminum polish works as well if not better and is easier to find at almost any auto parts store or Wally World.

After seeing a recommendation for P21S polishing soap I picked up the S100 equivalent at an H-D shop. Works real nice without the annoying black crud when polishing aluminum. Your mileage may vary.

I have a ton of the Nevr Dull which seems to work pretty good. I recently tried some Blue Magic (?) or something that has good cleaning abilities, probably due to the strong ammonia content.

I bought some never dull recently and it does not seem to work as well as I remember it working.

I am polishing some HEAVILY oxidized aluminum wheels which also have some pitting. I have spent almost 2 hours on one wheel using Mothers wheel polish and power balls(3) before I was, almost, satisfied.

I will take some pictures as soon as I find my camera or buy a new one. I can not find my darn camera since my little brother and his friends were here for spring break. Three teenage boys are a handful.

Sounds like I might have to add WG to the shamrock special. MF is to me as shoes are to women. I curse you MF

:iagree: English works great. worth ordering.

the eagle one never dull, is that the one that comes in the tin jar that looks like a big ball of insulation that you rip off and polish the metal?

Zephyr 40 and Bush metal polishes are 2 other ones that I like.

I like Blue Magic for two things, exhaust tips, and polishing sweat and hand prints off of cymbals. Blue Magic actually used to be the manufacturer for Zildjian Cymbals polish for a long time. They just rebranded it their own, and charged 12 bucks for a tube of it, about the size of a small toothpaste tube.

i bought a brand new jar of that never dull stiff and now i cant find it. i liked using it for intercooler tanks and tubes. i havnt been able to find it anywhere now so i just kept using mothers.
