I was taxed with polishing the rims, chrome/SS trim and a SS tank for the fire department. I have access to a HS buffer as well as a Older PC. Looking for recommendations on the pads/wool for the buffers and what chemicals are recommended. The wheels are alcoa and they are in rough shape, the rest of the trucks aren't too bad but definitely need some love.

I personally like to use the Blackfire Metal Polish & Metal Sealant on aluminum and chrome plated parts. It's a great combo! BLACKFIRE Metal Polish and Sealant Combo

I would recommend investing in a rotary polisher for polishing metal surfaces like Diamond Plate, Aluminum Tanks, and Alcoa Wheels on Fire Trucks. Depending on how rough the Alcoa wheels look they might need to be sanded down first and then use a variety of metal polishing compounds "rouges" and buffing wheels. Zephyr offers some nice kits.
