Method for interior wood grain? Cleaning pictured upholstery

Lately I've been cleaning and just maintaining the interior on my escalade ext but this weekend I'm planning on ambushing the paint with all the AG goodies I picked up. I'm going to tackle interior as well.

Any recomendations for removing the swirls/fine scratches in the wood grain on my console? I picked up some PERL to try out for Interior and exterior, I would like to correct the console prior to applying it.

Also will I need an extractor to remove the minor hand dirt/oil rubbing marks on upholstery or is there a MF/product combo method I can do?

Let me know if the pictures are too small, regular size was tripping out the AG app lol.

Welcome to the site.

Looks like you'll have your hands full with working on the paint alone. You may want to set aside a few weekends for the total project if you intend on correcting that hard GM clear coat.

The woodgrain can be polished up using the same products to correct the paint. You'll probably want to do the woodgrain by hand though using cotton terry towels and maybe a MF towel to finish it with.

I'd suggest using Folex on the interior if you don't have an extractor to rinse the cleaner out with. Folex seems to attract less dirt than most APCs once the interior is cleaned and dried without rinsing the fabric with an extractor.

You can always use a spray bottle of water and a strong wet/dry vac to extract/rinse the dirt/cleaner from the fabric. Extracting is the best way to go, and you'll get a cleaner interior that won't be such a dirt magnet if you rinse/extract the dirt/cleaner back out of the fabric. Without doing so you basically just spread the dirt around in the fabric (some will be removed) to make a more uniform clean look, and the remaining dried cleaner typically has a tack to it that attracts dirt into the future.
 
Thanks for the welcome and great tips. I'm planning on tackling all on a weekend, we'll see how well it goes. As far as the GM paint, any tips? Here's the original thread on the ext and somewhat show-able paint condition(didn't snap any "swirl" pictures).

For the interior, I'm going to clean it up and leave the upholstery/carpet for another weekend. Since im more of a weekend warrior, I saw that the Bissel pro heat does minor jobs and is relatively inexpensive compared to the big guns. I'll make a thread on it when I got everything in my hands and ready to knock it out.
 
It doesn't bother me that much lol^^ I'm going to remove the pieces and give it a shot.
