I'm torn between these two units. I currently use an electric leaf blower and it does a good job on the roof of my wife's SUV but I pretty much only use it for the nooks and crannies that the sidekick is designed for. I'm just wondering if the B3CD has that much more umph that can be used for more than just nooks and crannies, etc. Don't think I can swing the coin that the full on master blaster requires.

I have not used the Side Kick or the B3CD but I have the Metro Master Blaster and the DP Turbo Car Dryer.

The DP Turbo Car Dryer is definitely powerful enough to dry a car. I need to use ear plugs because it creates a high pitch sound when I hit certain nook and crannies. I even use it sometime as a leaf blower. If you're concerned about price I would say take a look at the DP Turbo Car Dryer.

The DP Turbo Car Dryer is cheaper and it's currently on sale right now. Stat wise, the Air Force Blaster is 4HP peak and the DP Turbo Car Dryer is 6.5HP peak. I know HP doesn't tell the whole story and we should really be looking at air flow but was not able to find air flow for the DP Turbo Car Dryer. Maybe someone that knows can provide that info.

I went with the metro because,of price and simplicity one hand to blow the other to wipe.and is good for the interior as well.

I'm sold on the sidekick. the only problem is the very small cord that comes with it.

I have not tried the B3CD but the Sidekick is the best purchase I made last year. That this is just amazing.

I also have the sidekick and it works really well. My favourite part to use it is on my wheels, door handles and badges. You will need an extension cord to use it however.

that's the only real downside I can see. it's not the most powerful ever, but it does require the use of an extension cord since the cord is only 12 inches long

Thats a safety feature (the short cord) to keep it from resting in a puddle and well... you get the drift.

I opted for the Sidekick at this point. I'll evaluate if I'll need the B3CD in the future.

What's the B3CD? I did a search on this forum and got nothing.

Oh alright... Speaking of the Master Blaster Sidekick, I love mine.. But just last week, while using it to dry my Cadillac, I went to blow the emblem on the canvas top and it blew the plastic cover right off the emblem! Wow😒

To make matters worse, I picked it up off the ground and placed it on top of the canvas roof with plans of using Crazy Glue to re-attach it.. But I ended up forgetting about it and drove off. So I lost the piece😒

Master Blaster Sidekick blows Hard!💪🏽

I've found a hidden gem when it comes to a blower, as I wanted one for my mobile rig. It's a Rigid 6 Gal. Stainless Steel Wet/Dry Vacuum. It has a blower port in the back that you can connect your hose onto and use as a blower. I bought a metrovac blower adapter to make the nozzle more concentrated. Not only do I use it as a blower but it is also a 4.5 hp wet dry vac! The best part is that it is only $50 at your local orange hardware store. :)

Have you ever seen the dust that comes out of the blower port when you turn those on?

I have a 6hp. Ridgid and I've never seen a grain of dust come out the blower port... If anything it's the hose that 1 should be worried about. It's not exactly clean inside of the hose which might result in a problem.
But that slim chance aside, my vacuum blows way harder than the Metro Sidekick.
Either ways I don't really use my vacuum to blow any parts of a vehicle dry.

If you are using that unit as a vacuum, you should not use the blow port to dry cars.

When you do both, the hose and canister will be full of dirt and debris and you will be blowing that on the car creating a sandblaster like effect.

I know because I tried it (not on a car) to see if it could replace a stand alone blower and quickly decided it could not be used safely by blowing air on my hand and feeling tons of sand hitting my hand.

Yes the blower port is separate from the tank. If there is sand blowing out it is like you said, most likely from the hose. Which is why I use the hose that comes with the vacuum as my blower and I use a separate upgraded hose for the vacuum. Problem solved!

The purpose of my blower is for interior only to blow out cracks and crevices. It's so much faster than using a brush. All my washes are waterless :)

I know what you mean about the the blower port being separate from the tank.. But I'm not sure if it's totally independent. I think the purity of the air coming out of the blower port is dependent on which filter you use and how clean it is. I use the triple layer Blue filter and keep it clean for the most part. I would think using the standard White single layer filter might lead to dirt blowing out of the port like people have mentioned.

Reason I think it's dependent on the filter is because if you put your hand over the vacuum port while using the blower, you'll notice the power of the blower decrease. So it's like it uses the strong vacuum air, runs past the filter, then finally out the blower port. Nevertheless, it makes for a darn good blower. I was amazed at how good it was when I 1st tried it. I haven't swept the backyard patio with a broom since. Lol.
