Just a heads up for anyone needing any spares like myself or just in need of some cheap drying towels. This is far below cobra guzzler quality but it's a decent substitute. If your on a budget get to wal-mart quick, I had to visit 2 stores to get 5.

I tested the big one in the background yesterday and it performed great, completed a full crewcab f-350 in about 5min flat. The towel is supersoft and is large enough to tackle I believe anything.

Wally World - $6.86 + tax

6.5 sq ft - Microtex Car Drying Towel.

My wife got one for me as a stocking stuffer last Xmas. Have used it with decent results about 4 times.

Don't forget the white waffle weaves at Walmart as well. They are in the housewares section. They are like $3 for a two pack.

These waffle weaves are my go to glass towels. They work great!

There are also 24 packs...maybe 12 packs of MF towels for about $10 bucks.

I agree with you guys, I also have a bunch of budget-buy MFs, but once you go with Cobra's line, there's no going back.

i never have any luck with the budget buy microfibers

i like budget buy mf towels for wheels and interior...or if i am washing and especially dirty car that i know i am going to polish anyway i use them to dry down the car...

I wouldn't buy those for drying. I have some from Sams Club, and they are decent for buffing, but stink for drying or QDing. Once they get wet, they just streak everything.

vroom microfiber is pretty good for bulk microfiber, but it leaves small lints pieces like crazy after afew washings, so don't use it on glass. I use mine on jambs, interior, ect...

I purchased a bunch of 70/30 MF towels on ebay really cheap and they are very nice towels.

I think you need to measure long term value when purchasing micro's. I have Cobras that are 5 years old, and still look and feel new. So the cost might have been a buck more, but outlasts the store bought crap by miles. Nothing feels like a Cobra.

Cobras are nice and I have quite a few of them. I have also found some just as nice on ebay for a great price. There are a lot of different people selling a lot of different brands of Microfibers on ebay. If you think they are all the same and are all bad you are only fooling yourself.

the problem with Ebay, and Costgo, and other mass outlets is the quality between towels can be completely different. You'd be surprised at how many scratched a cd on a recent little test we did at BJ's in bulk. In most cases about 1/2 are of great quality, and the rest leave something to be desired.
