Can't remember where I saw these, but think it's a great idea. It's the same
density of about a1" foam pad, covered in microfiber--you can just flip it over and
use both sides. Seems like something I'd try in lieu of removing/replacing covers.
Anyone had any experience--maybe something AG might consider.

Thanks

You're not thinking of these are you?

No, they're for your buffer--approx 6" in diameter/1" thick.

Not sure I follow. What do you mean by covers? Is this a 1" thick pad that has replaceable covers with different cuts. The cover being the media that actually does the cutting? Can you google a picture?

No, not a bonnet. It's an actual "pad" covered in microfiber. I'll see if
I can remember where I saw it--I had been thinking for some time that this
would be a great idea.

That is a surbuf pad. I think they just have a typo or miscommunication between microfiber and microfingers. No way will a microfiber pad cut as much as a wool pad.

I've been out of the loop for awhile. Interesting that these are now offered in the new items section--great.

All though they're foam, thats the feature I love about using my Edge and System One pads ,jus flip um and keep moving,u can always put a microfiber bonnet on them.:buffing:

Gonna have to chime in on this thread. The Surbuf pads are AWESOME at correction but need a TON of cleaning to keep them working well. The other thing that will get most people is the fact that you're going to need to use about HALF or less of the product you usually use with foam pads as the Surbuf pads DO NOT absorb product at all. Use a pad brush to clean it every other section or you'll lose it's cutting power, but it does WONDERS at removing defects and saves you TONS on product. I've started using them on the last 3 cars and they really are amazing pads.
