Microfiber towel packing suggestion

I recently received my order from the big sale. I bought the BOGO blue towels. Love them.

My issue is that 3 of them were contaminated, IMO. They had little pieces of cardboard embedded in the fibers. I think you should put these in plastic bags so they don't attract contaminates. I'm going to try and wash them to see if it helps, but I'm not sure it will because they're really in there and trying to pull them out results in pulling out the fibers. I just won't use these on the paint. The others I used on the paint and they work great.

i agree. any product that should come in contact with the surface should be protected against dirt/dust/etc. microfibers, applicators, buffing pads. i just bought products from another company and all my towels came packaged in clear bags.
 
I've had this experience as well and I would like the suggestion be implemented. I hate pulling these foreign objects stuck in the fibers of the MF towel.
 
I think most assume/recommend "washing before using". The towels sitting on Target's shelf aren't very clean either. I can honestly saw that I don't wash them before using, but I should.
 
I just wash it before using it.

Same for clothing, towels for my body, any fabric really before I use them.
 
I bought 2 of the three pack BOGO rolled edge microfiber towels (12 total) and they came sealed in plastic wrapping. :xyxthumbs:
 
Well, I washed them and there's still stuff in there. Spent ten minutes picking it out and still not all out. Oh well, I'll just use it for rims and inside..
 
I really can't remember how mine were packed from AG the few times that I have gotten MF's from there, but I'm pretty sure they were loose or in paper bags...I also support plastic :D
 
If you got time, I would try to pick them out. Throwing them in the washer is not going really solve the problem.

+1 for plastic sealed bag.

I just received my order yesterday from Autogeek,
and I have the same problem.
All the towels are contaminated.
I have ordered towels from other web sites such as ADS, Detailing.com, Chemicalguys. In fact all their products come with individual plastic bags.
I do not recommend buying towels from Autogeek unless they are going to put plastic bags on the towels.
 
Don't freak out. I'm sure that if you call up and talk to Meghan she will be able to get them replaced if you send them back.

And now you have me wondering, so I better go out to the garage and unpack my last order. Been too busy this week to do it.
 
Try wrapping some masking tape (sticky side out) around your hand and pat away. If the tape is too 'grappy' pat your hand (with tape on) on your pants/shirt (or whatever) first.

when i got my microfibers they were wrapped in a paper bag. that seemed to work. the free extra towels that came with leatherique, the megs da system, iron x and 845 were not wrapped if i can remember correctly but were not contaminated. but yeah i think ag will help nick always rectifies any faux pas that i have encountered. have you contacted ag?

No. I was just making this thread as a future suggestion. I'm not going to freak out too much over a couple $2-$3 towels. But there are people that would, so maybe this suggestion would help.
 
Could be the best situation or the worst situation. I alway wash mine for piece of mind Because You still don't know where they've been...
 
I believe AG ships loose towels in a brown bag folded closed. Some are sealed in packaging often in multiple packs. The kits are in cardboard boxes. I too always suggest washing any towel before use. If something looks amiss contact us ... it will be repaired.
