Microfiber vs Terry Cotton Cloth for cutting

Hi which one has the more bite for cutting?
Thought I saw Terry Cotton but not 100% sure.
 
I assume you are talking about compounding/polishing by hand.

If that is the case, I'd give the cotton terry a slight edge, but I also believe your product selection and process will have a much bigger effect than the type of towel you are using.

Assuming that whatever you are trying to correct is correctable, either the microfiber or the cotton terry, combined with the right product and process would likely provide the desired results.
 
With a random orbit machine, the Griots Fast Finishing MF pad works great and leaves a nice finish.
