I currently do anywhere between 12-20 cars a week with a 3 man crew, well 2.5 one is part time, I have noticed as of late that I am getting alot of towel marks on the bottoms of the doors, I am not sure if it is from me or my lead guy, but either way it has presented a problem and extra work refinishing those panels, I have been using the purple cobra jrs and 530 towels they arent that old have no visable where and are washed in baby detergant by them selves, before ordering more towels I wanted to here what some people that do some volume are using, 50 530's are a bit pricey if they are only lasting 3 months before being down graded to interior towels

thanks

maybe the baby soap is not strong enough to remove the contaminents lodged in towels, and should move to a stronger soap or dedicated microfiber detergent ??? Ive had no problems with these towels, but not used in pro setting either.

use a cleaner that is dedicated just for microfibers. i use normal detergent myself but then again i detail on the side and dont do as many cars as you are doing which means my micro's r not being washed as often either. and regular detergent will break down the fibers and cause them not be any better than terry cloth towels.

One of the best things I've done for micros, is let them sit in very hot water mix with a good cleaner/APC. The gunk that comes out from towels that even look not that dirty is amazing. The water will turn murky and usually junk floating at the top. In your case you'll pry need quite a few buckets with all the ones you have. Than I just throw them in the washer with cleaner.
