I brought Dewalt 849x, because my older rotary couldn`t resist such a hard core work, I used no more than one year from a brand new.
So I decided for something stronger like Dewalt 849x, I have readed maybe all the topics you have writed for this tool, I wanted flex 14-2 but because is compact size I was afraid that even flex would not resist such a hard core buffing extremly swirld and scrached paints that I correct every day.
So after I opened the box I was amazed with such a big wool pad, which then I readed more topics where you chose this kind of wool for neglected paints or extremly swirled paint, and here in my country washing techniques of cars are very poor even a 2/3 years car belongs in that category, not to speak for those 10 or more years old.
So I thought maybe with this pad I will finish the job quicker, and imedietly found a test car, again extremly bad condition, lot of RIDS which I try to remove every time I detail a car, the car was an AUDI a4 2005 year.
The problem.
It loked like I would need half of 32oz bottle of menzerna fg 400 to do a car.
And the correction level was nowhere near my technique using a 5.5 lambskin pad.
Is something wrong with my technique maybe it was just 15 minutes playing time, maybe I need more time.
How much polish I need for this wool pads, do they cut more than lambskin pads.
Thanks Mike Phillips, and other who may help.
