Hey Mike, I was watching some of your video about applying wax and in one of the videos you were demonstraiting how to use the "straightline Technique", so I am wondering, can this be used to apply a liquid synthetic wax like Mother's Fx Synwax? Or is it only for expensive carnauba wax?

It doesn't matter, any wax or sealants will be fine.

No not yet bud, been hard getting the G110 v2 here in Canada, but finally found a place but on back order....And I am dying to get some wax on my car, even though I will do a longer process once the da comes in.
Little embarrassed to say it but it's a Nissan Quest Minivan, and it's BIG!! But this will pretty much be the only thing that I will be taking care of, so that is why I have ordered a DA. But while I am at it...what do you guys suggest as the best method to do the roof? Just a step ladder??

same here, I feel like i can't spread the wax evenly if I use the SLM..

Less wax on the applicator. If you get too much just spread it quickly over a couple close together areas then re-spread it all evenly.
Same here too. The straight line technique doesn't "feel" right to me. I'm not comfortable nor do I find it easier to get good even coverage, so I use the circular method. Nothing wrong with using what works for you. :xyxthumbs:

If you use the polishing pal and a 4-in pad, I find this gives more control to give even coats by hand for me using straight line motions (horizontal and vertical). It is also easier to do the circular motions (as used in the image). I believe it helps control the downward pressure so you can use the prime pad better to transfer to paint better than the thin disc shaped yellow applicators.
