About a month and a half ago, I performed a full detail on my car. In case you haven't seen that thread yet, please check this out:
http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/61971-detailed-2009-honda-civic-si-rallye-red.html

The car got dusty after driving it for about 2 weeks. I performed a rinseless wash using the Meguiar's RFEW. Since the car was just sitting in the garage, I decided to further polish the paint with the hopes of making the paint pop more. I picked Ultimate Polish because I want a polish that has very little abrasive in it but more polishig oils. I totally forgot about using Menzerna SF4500.

In a span of multiple days, I polished the paint. Then I applied Menzerna Powerlock as my sealant. After a day, I topped it off with AGHD.

I'm sorry but I really don't have any pics of the process because the car has already been detailed. I just took a bunch of photos afterwards. Here they are...

What do you guys think?? Comments and criticisms are welcome!!!

Thanks for viewing it.

I seriously think that this generations Si coupe was the ugliest of them all. But yours? I think it's the red and the offset if your wheels and black lip, but looks good!

Non-detailing related, what's the plans for your car? Cruiser? Auto-x? Hard-parking?

looks great!

what do you think about Meg's Rinseless wash? I've used ONR, DP Rinseless but never Meg's.

Car look awesome. From a photographic perspective I'd recommend being a little more aware of distracting backgrounds or use a photo editing program. I feel like handicap logos, Target 18 wheeler, red & white safety fence etc take away from the pictures.

Another 8thgen here. Nice work and I'm liking the red.

Thanks dorkie! Any pics of yours?

Thanks for the compliments jdmj0! I'm glad you like it. I wish I had +3 more offset but all is good.

I plan to have it as a fun weekend cruiser unless I'm forced to use it everyday. If I learn how to rev match and heel/toe properly then I might take it to the track. But I'm just afraid I'm going to damage something.

Thanks willtothewong!

I think it's great stuff! I just wish it beaded the solution like ONR or DP. But I like how it keeps the wash media clean.

Thank you so much, Ralph!

Do you have any tutorials or software recommendations? These shots are straight out of the camera. I don't like post processing pics because it defeats the whole purpose of showing what the paint of the car really looks like. But I don't mind removing unnecessary clutter in the background. Thanks in advance!

Looking good Marc. Still to high for my taste. Lol

Now tell your buddy with the STI to get some gold wheels like yours.

Thanks a lot, Mike! Appreciate the kind words coming from you.

I agree with you. I'm now thinking of getting coilovers but I just want to kick myself for not doing it in the first place. Now I'm lowering the car twice. I want 1 finger gap all around. I don't want to tuck the tire because it's just going to be a headache driving it around.

I'm trying.. ;) I'm going to suggest the idea of at least powder coating his stock rims.

damn! BALLER with those rims lol
awesome look i had to turn down the brightness on my screen cause that red was too bright lol

Thanks man!! Still not as baller as you dude!

Great work Marc!

Car was already looking beautiful and you gave it that little extra pop. :)

Marc, if you don't know by now, I'll tell you again: I love your ride!

This is actually one of my favorite generations of civics. I dig the look and I think your ride height is great as well. I do not like the slammed look.

Ultimate Polish really made that awesome shade of red pop even more! I would roll in your Si any day of the week!

By the way, if your friend wants gold wheels, I would recommend he keep his stock ones and just get a second gold set of wheels. This way, in the winter or if he goes to sell the car he will still have the stockers in original condition.

This one looks like it could be the cover shot for a Motor Trend issue. Great job!

Thanks a lot for the compliments, Nick!!!

Thanks, vet!

WOW! Thank you so much, Drew! I'm really flattered to hear that! If we lived closer, it would have been awesome to do a photoshoot with your RX-7 and WRX!! Body color and wheel color match respectively. :D I love this generation Civic too and the k20 motor is a screamer!

I would pass the words along. I sent him the link to the STi thread.

Thanks again man!

Hondaboys unite! lol

Car looks great as always. Makes me want a red car now.
