Anybody use a mini mitt for washing their wheels. I got about 10 chenille mitts that are dedicated to cleaning wheel spokes and faces. They are the standard size which i think are too bulky. Especially for the wheels on my Tacoma. Im not referring to the finger mitts. Although ive never tried them i dont think id like them.
So have you tried the mini mitts? They look to be about 5 x 6 inches or so. You like them ?
 
I have a couple...have never gotten around to using them. I use MF brushes, a wheel face brush, and sometimes the finger mitts.

So which do you prefer?
I have a Detail Factory wheel face brush but I prefer the mitts over the brush. But I now use the wheel face brush for applying water based tire dressing. It's great for that.

For the back of the spokes I use a Microfiber cloth been doing it for 10 years.

But for neglected Wheels I can see where a finger mitt would come in handy.
 
I would be interested in trying a mini-mitt. I have brushes but always had washing gives best results around spokes on my vehicles,
 
I googled this.....and now I am confused. What is the difference between a finger mitt and a mini mitt. Are we discussing the same like thing or is a 3 finger mitt the finger mitt.

While these styles work great for large flat surfaces and or when the access allows, wrapping around the back of a spoke, even small stepped profiles like you may find on a spoke -front lip profile, I resort to a brush as it just doesn't get to a small surface area with enough -bite- than a wheel brush

What is a mini mitt? If you're not talking about a finger mitt or a regular full size wash mitt, then what else is there that covers the whole hand aside from a 5-finger mitt?

For wheels, I like using the Work Stuff Hurricane mitt or occasionally a generic 5-finger mitt.
 
OP:BLM. I know you said you never used them. Size aside. They are also a smidge thinner....at least 30% as a WAG.....noticable enough. I suppose thinner so once can bend, wrap more than a thicker core mitt. The nap on the mitt is the just the same, just the core is thine.r

I have some old Meg's mitts that would likely qualify as a mini-mitt/
 
The one I had would fit on about 4 fingers and it stained them black for a few days. I didn't like it because it would fall off my fingers a couple of times on each wheel.

The one on post #10 from @Setec Astronomy looks like it might work really well on wheels with larger openings.

I think it should be a welcome change if ur using chenille mitts.....as it's literally half the bulk in profile,
I do think everyone should own a AF Barrel Blade.
It does not make full contact with the wheel barrel - depending on the profile of the front barrel and the point of entry but for me, it's the slimmest tool that fits more wheels than any of my other wheel barrel tools as well.

Wheel Wollies does make one a bit smaller but the handle is very short and it's more work trying to clean with the shorter handle
 
I've got some mini mitts (6x6) that I use for wheel cleaning (wheel faces), along with wheel woolies (barrel) and a lug nut brush.
 
Mini wheel mite have replaced Bruges for faces for me. Also to get in between these wheels. Big part of my wheel cleaning regimen now

I never put a mitt on my hand. Just grab the whole thing. Although the cuff/opening provides a good spot to hang them for drying.
 
I have the trc mitts I like using them for more focused cleaning. Definitely not my default. Probably should be. I bett the gloss black would have less swirls.
