How many of you reclaim your water?

How many of you have a filtration system to recycle it back into your tank?

This is what I am looking to do. I have a 10x20 rec mat. I want to reclaim 90% of my water, filter it, and re-use t.

Here in RI, there are no strict water limitations or laws, only that water does not go into storm drains, because the water goes untreated. I could just dump it down the toilet but, that's wasteful.

What type of filtration do you use? any way to DIY? is this logical?

I am looking to advertise as an eco-friendly company through water reclamation and recycling.

It's important to contact your local EPA agency to find out what the water restrictions, if any, apply to car washing. In NE Indiana, I was told by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) that they don't require water reclamation unless I'm operating a commercial car wash. During drought times that would change but for the most part, they don't care. I'm sure that is different in the drought stricken parts of the US.

Alkota makes a water reclamation-filteration-reuse system, but it costs $4500 and is fairly large.

My preference to water reclamation system would be built around the Sirocco PEV2 Water Reclaim System. It can vacuum water, act as a general vacuum and with the right attachments, an extractor. A "Shop-vac" could suffice in a pinch but they're not designed for commercial level water reclamation and would probably not last long.

Having a legitimate water reclamation system can give you an edge over the competition and more importantly keep you legal.

a simple bucket boss from home depo and a sand bag.
Put this in the gutter/collection are and done.
If you need a wider pick up area then you'll have to get a boom ($500) and a bigger wetdry vac.
Also a wash mat will work, also $500 bucks, but they are an fing pain to deal with.
and the EPA LAW is: Nothing in the storm drain and you must dump your water in the in the sewage system to get treated, ie: and RV Park toilet drain or your home tolet.
