so i bought the "detailers kit" with pinnacle, and it should be here tomorrow, and i see it comes with 1 orange, 1 white, 1 blue pad. do i have enough pads to do my car? after reading a few posts, i see some people change out their pads for clean ones. sorry if this has been posted before, im sure i have read over half of the posts, and still have lots to go, but i didnt see it anywhere. thanks in advance. i will be getting more pads in the future, im just checking the amount of pads for 1 c r.

You can never have enough pads! I guess you could if you had to do your car with those, but I'm not sure you would want to. Maybe one if the seasoned people can help out...

You will definitely need more pads. I use about 5-6 cutting pads and then usually the same amount or less of finishing pads. The problem is the pad is going to get product soaked, and after a while it will no longer perform as it should. If you continue to use the pad this way it will eventually tear/rip.

i typicaly use 3-4 pads per car per product being used.

You needs lots o pads. My favorite are the hydrotechs. Just food for thought.

Hi. What are you working on? What is your end goal for the car? Are you working with a strict budget?

Sorry Mike, I just realized this is your thread. Just anxious to help I guess!

hello,
i am working on a 2007 envoy denali. has some fine scratches, but nothing major. i am trying to acomplish that mirror shine that i have seen in so many posts.

when i ordered my kit i got the pinnacle advanced swirl remover kit, with pc, but it only came with 3 pads. (and 2 free red ones, but i dont know what their role is yet).
i am not on a budget, im sure im going to spend way too much money on here, as i have been finding new things each day. ( i have only been a member for less than a week). i might wait for the next sale or bogo so i can double up on things. one person above mentioned the "hydrotech pads, so i was looking at those. any advice you offer i will greatly appreciate.
thanks!

I will kindly wait for Mike Phillips' response as this is his forum/thread. I need to practice patience anyway!

The red ones are for final waxing. And with that size of truck you will need a few more pads as mentioned before.Your best bet is too do a test spot using the white pad and see what kind of results you get.

If the results aren't what you want then step up to the orange pad. After you do your test spot that will determine how many more pads you need.

Either way your going to need more pads either orange or white and the black ones are for finishing

thanks for the advice. i was just going to dive in with the orange 1st, but that makes sense starting with the white and seeing what the result is 1st.
learnin new things each day!

Always start with the Least Aggressive product first and that's what it's all about learning something new everyday.
