As many of you know we shut down Detail Fest a couple hours early yesterday. Sometimes
you have to make decisions you really don't want to make, but you have to for the safety of
all concerned. Max made a great call getting everyone out safe!

We had some 25 MPH winds yesterday and some gusts that got double of that!

Here are some photos of what it looked like when we arrive back today.....

Sucks to here. Looks like you guys had fun before the wind though. You guys should relocate in the west:)

The wind on Sunday was quite intense at times. When we were eating lunch there were a couple uneasy moments where it seemed certain that the tent was going down!
Thankfully all was good and the high winds were a better compromise than rain, so ultimately all worked out for the best.

Very true, I came over to that food tent and knew we needed to shut this baby down a bit early. That tent started to lift!

Eh, there's no escape really, is there? If it's not hurricanes, etc., it's earthquakes, mudslides, and brush fires, if you avoid all of them you're in tornado alley...it's really a pick-your-poison, eh?

It was just not in Florida. The wind was intense Sunday and today driving up I-95.

We drove from the Chicago area south to the bottom of Illinois through that winter storm yesterday. Saw 100+ cars off the road, 15" of snow in some areas , high winds. Bad weather everywhere yesterday.

Wise decision. They also had to shut down the Arnold Palmer Tournament in Orlando due to lightning, rain and high winds.

That sucks guys!

I remember my 1st time driving into FLA about 4 yrs ago and seeing a sign on I-75 that read HURRICANE EVACUATION ROUTE. I know our weather sucks here, but to close both sides of a freeway to get as many people out....holy hell!

Heading back south to Broward we noted a car that flipped off the side of the highway and the Turnpike was backed up for miles. We hope it had nothing to due with the crazy winds, and that none of our friends from Detailfest were involved.

Yeah when I was heading back to Tampa yesterday, the wind was crazy it was blowing me all over the road on the turnpike.

It looks like the entire East coast was / is windy. I think it was a great call Meghan and now it's just more sunny warm weather for Stuart...:props:
