Mothers Back to Black for rubber seals?

I need to condition the rubber seals around car doors and convertible top. (Audi A4)They are starting to feel dry and I want to condition them before they begin to leak. I purchased Back to black but want to make sure this is the right product for the job.
Can someone give me some insight on this product.
 
I don't have any experience with the Mother's Back to Black. Something I do is use

Meguiars #40<br>Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner protects rubber, plastic & vinyl interior surfaces. Meguiars # 40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner and it really brings the color back and

conditions as well. One problem I have encountered is after a rainshower or if the

dew falls on it it streaks down on your paint I (use a QD to quickly remove this). I have avoided this by giving it at least

one to two hours drying time, then top with Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant, rubber trim sealant, rubber protectant, exterior trim products, metal sealer. I haven't experienced any running after using this.

Another option and I have tried it just this past week is to apply the protectant allow it

to dry, then top with Colinite 845. Some may argue the wax will dry the rubber but

I'm dilligent when it comes to cleaning and conditioning the rubber. Good Luck with

whatever you try. BTW, I drive a 2001 F-150 daily driver, I get compliments on it

all the time.

Back to black will do what you want but IME it runs when it rains.

I use UTTG (Ultima Tire and Trim Guard) Dose not run, last a long time.
 
cutter are you talking about the rubber at the base of the windows? Those are a challenge to keep looking nice. I just tried some UTTG on them to see if it last.
 
Consider using a product made for that need - something like our VLR:

I use it on weatherstripping and door seals.
 
I may have to give that a whirl.

I read my manual on my '00 Yukon, says to use dielectric grease on window seals and rubber. About once a year I do that just before winter really sets in and maintain with M40. Seals other than a rip on one, look good as new and soft and pliable.
