I like megs cleaner wax how does mothers cleaner wax compare ? which is better ? And I am talking paste not liquid

I have used both and have had equal results with them. Thus they are both equal to one another. Just my opinion but I think it's more about preference.

Agree. Pretty much on par with each other (in my opinion).

I used Mother's way back in the day. For me it's BF Poli Seal. Works awesome and no buffing required.

I never used the Megs but Mothers gave me an incredible shine and I love the smell too.

I've used both (in liquid form only) and def prefer Mothers.

I have used both but it's been so long... I haven't used any cleaner waxes in a while

I do like Mothers cleaner wax on some water spots (quick touch up) and on plastic chrome for a one stepper plus it has a great scent.

Speaking of wax i have heard really good things about meguiars liqud gold class clear coat wax has anyone tried this

The Megs GCCP is a nice wax. It gives me amazing carnauba-like looks on black, but doesn't last too long IME.

Thanks how long would you say it lasts

Re: Mothers california gold carnauba cleaner vs. Megs cleaners

I've used both and preferred the Mother's, mainly due to the look. That being said, I remember the Meguiar's being easier to use, in terms of ease of removal. Another thing is the Mothers has Nuba in it, while the Meguiar's, to the best of my knowledge, contains no natural wax and is a synthetic wax, which could explain the greater ease of use.

I have only used the products in paste form. Meguiar's is nice because it is an easy open can (twist) and includes a foam applicator, while the Mothers was a pry top, but this was many years ago (over 5) and it could have changed. Most of the time, I prefer different products over cleaner/waxes.

It seems most prefer Mothers in this thread, and based on looks, I concur. Happy detailing!

Mothers still has the pry top. A little hard to get off, not too bad.

Don't drop the can. I dropped it from about 5 feet and it bent up like stepping on an aluminum can. Took me forever to bend that sucka back into shape. Lol!

Good stuff...especially if you like to see water beading.

Note to self:
Sheeet...I wish Meguiar's would go back to where they
didn't formulate so many of these "beading-LSPs"!!

Obviously there's many variables, but on my garage queen, I got about 8 weeks.

On a daily driver, it may only be 3-4 weeks.

Like a I said, nice wax though. Looks beautiful and very easy to apply / remove. :xyxthumbs:
