Autozone sells a line called M-Tech by Mothers and picked up a bottle of the Protectant while on a trip to use in my Dad's truck.
Overall it was quite similar to Mothers Protectant although it seemed to be tad thinner consistency and slightly less intense smell but very subjective.
For a visual comparison, I decided to use a surface I could control the light better so I cleaned the side of a power tool case then applied them on each side with a control sample in the middle. They seem very close in appearance.
Like Mothers Protectant, it darkens a lot plus adds a little gloss. It worked fine for the degraded dash materials in the 1991 truck.
