mothers polishing ball

With the appropriate product, yes.

Don't use a metal or chrome polish on a painted rim. My suggestion would be a plastic polish, but others may have differing opinions.

Listen to Forrest.......what you use on your paint you can use on your PAINTED wheels.

both the ball and the cone are excellent tools to aid in polishing wheels and other items.
they are product dependent.

I know about the polishing products are the polishing balls and cones safe to use will they scratch my rims I know the yellow cone one from meguires days don't use on painted wheels what about the red ones

Our red PowerBall and PowerCone are fine on a painted wheel - with an appropriate polish.

BTW, we also have the gold PowerBall 4Paint - it's the softest foam tool we make, and it's for paint, so you could also use that if you have concerns.

Any of the tools, used improperly, will mar the surface - use 300 rpm or less, and light pressure. Let the product do the work.

poorboy's wheel sealant with red PowerBall and PowerCone will be ok to use
