Motorcycle helmet scratch removal

I received interesting request..... removing scratches off motorcycle helmet.

It didn't drop from high enough or hard enough to replace, but due to gravel now it has some scars and owner is looking to remove them.
Anyone have experience with motorcycle helmet buffing?

and I was thinking....maybe I can polish visor as same way as headlight polish

I have cleaned up a number of my arai helmets over the years.. here's what i learned.. the clear was super thin on them.. and being Kevlar GRP they retain heat ..
So on my first go it wasn't hard to run through the clear, the radius surface also not helping....
Summary, you have to tread lightly with them.. any RID's picking up a nail i no longer bother with (add some touch up clear an in due course smooth it off)..
i removed light swirls but the gravel rash you sem to have will i fear remain without clearcoat repair..

Re the visor's i have always thrown mine.. the fact they are so flexible i imagine won't make life easy... let us know how you go on.. they are poly carb so very soft...
