Short review of Mr. Pink. Bought it thinking it would be a good wash soap but it has let me down every time I've used it.

I may be asking too much out of it, but outside of loose dust it will not clean anything. If there is a mud spot that has been pressure washed off, without extensive scrubbing it will not loosen any of the embedded dirt. It will not cut the fresh spilled milk off our tankers when washing at the plant either. Milk protein is hard to cut through, but this stuff is fresh spilled.

I'm guessing with all of these properties it is probably very safe for wax and sealers though. However, I need something more harsh. They are using caustic soda on the tankers again, but I would prefer to find a good soap to protect the paint yet get it clean.

In my experience no "quality" soap will wash off bonded contamination by just spraying it on and rinsing it off. Usually if they do this they are very strong and are not good for your LSP protection.

Over in the UK they are pioneering "new" pre-wash / no touch wash soaps that can do more of what you are asking for & are LSP safe. But our "snow foam" soaps we currently have here are not the same thing.

I do agree the Mr. Pink is a little on the weak side on the cleaning ability though.

I use CG products I purchased a gallon of Mr. Pink and I will say that it did not impress me for the cost over maxi suds. It's just ok it seems to me that CG keep stretching their product line in order to maximize profit. Basically hype.

I would agree... I typically buy CG soaps by the gallon, but I am glad I tried Mr. Pink in the smaller size first. Will not be purchasing again, I will keep my Citrus Wash & Gloss and Honey Dew Snow Foam gallons on my shelf though.

I use it in a 2BM method with a long reach brush and chinelle was mitt. Tried various concentrations.

I too feel a lot of their stuff has ridden on their name and just created hype and a long product line.

CG products don't deliver? shocker. One of the various reasons why i choose not to buy from them.

CG's web still shows the dilution of Mr Pink as 1 oz per 2 gallons unlike their other soaps.

Yea I still have the small bottle and I wasn't very impressed with Mr. Pink. Seems like it was more of a hype soap than anything.

Dollar for dollar and performance...can't beat Zep's soap lineup for commercial vehicles.

10-04.

thank goodness for this thread. my brother kept telling me to get Mr. Pink and he has no clue about detailing lol. almost felt for it.

So far all of the ones I have here from them have not impressed me much. I have 7 of their air fresheners and aside from stripper scent, none last even a day, stripper scent will last a couple days. They did nail the scents though.

Hose Free ECOwash was okay, but ONR does just fine or better.

DiabloGel cleans okay I guess.

Haven't used the extreme offensive odor eliminator yet.

Maybe its just me, but a lot of their videos and other companies videos show them working on things in very good shape, claiming to be in "bad" shape. Now I am a very picky person as well, but to me "bad" shape is something you can see from a few feet away. I just watched one of their "wheel polishing" videos. They started with a semi-dirty wheel, cleaned it, and didn't really seem to do much else at the end of the day. I realize it was clearcoated though. When I think of polishing wheels I think of, well... the link below. However I realize this is an extreme example compared to regular cars in CA and FL.

I really like their citrus wash n gloss.
Coming from Meg's gold class, I found it to be much better.
Bought 3 gallons.

Vinny I have the extremely offensive odor stuff and ill tell your is nothing to write home about. Trying to figure out how to dilute it was a challenge it ends up being 3:1. Did kill odor like it says I don't know maybe but it's certainly something I won't get again. It might be better off full strength the diluted.

i think mr. pink is great in the foam cannon and for maintence washs

Mr. Pink, weak?...
With a name like that: What else should one expect!!!

I've always been a fan of Ms. Pink though.

I think every company has bummer products. Sometimes they just are not what you hoped for. I'm a big if it works stick with it. I am a huge CG fan. The Citrus wash and Gloss is my favorite car wash. I have used Pinnacle Body work shampoo. Huge let down. I'm not brand loyal but if you have something I like and it does what it says it will do. I'm a customer for life.
My only let down by CG have been wheel brushes. Then again I have yet to find the holy grail of wheel brushes that has not meet a premature ending. Right now I have a SpeedMaster pro and it sheds like crazy. Let's see how it really holds up after some abuse.

I agree that Mr. Pink seemed to lack cleaning properties that you would hope a soap has. But of course as usual, CG came up with a great scent to reel you in...and the suds seemed to last pretty long. But I doubt I will purchase it again.

I have only ever used 3 different CG soaps... Citrus Wash and Gloss, Mr. Pink, and most recently Honey Dew Snow Foam. I love the other 2, but Mr. Pink definitely left me wishing for more. Honey Dew Snow Foam was very impressive though... I just used it for the 1st time last night when my new foam cannon showed up. Most other CG products have worked well for me too.
