Mud, Bugs, Bird Crap, Tar, and now a 5th... which requires a visit to my detailer.

My list of progressively bad things to ruin a nice clean car has just grown. I can now add cement sling to my list.

A month ago I passed through a concrete construction zone and didn't realize it until a couple weeks later that I got concrete slung along both sides of the car. Now it's caked on from the mirror housing to the back quarter panel. At first blush I thought it was tar, but quickly realized that the tar remover wasn't working that it was something worse. After a visit to my detailer to investigate what it might be, he suggested that it was concrete, and I agree as my visit through the construction zone was soon recalled.

Now the challenge to remove it without removing my ceramic coating. My detailer saw that once before and had success removing the concrete while saving the coating, but he forgot the process and is going to investigate a solution. We'll tackle that issue after Labor Day when I return for good from my summer place.

If anybody has experience in such matters, please advise.

Back-Set is a product that has come up before in these situations. I can't personally vouch for it.
