Mud Stains .......

I took my white Silverado through a muddy field t0w days ago. I washed it about 4 hours later. I now have some kind of stain all over the truck. I have tried a polish, clay bar and a DA buffer with a light abrasive. The stains are still there. I can get them off with rubbing compound. They are all over the hood and front fenders, the truck looks terrible.
Is there a better way ?

What year truck and what kind of ground, clay, black dirt etc? Did you have any protection on the paint

I used Mother's 100 and it took out the stains.
