My 2-month-old new car is full of tiny white paint specks

I'm mad beyond words. On Saturday, I decided to machine-detail my two-month old BMW 3 with a Sparkling Brown metallic and to my horror, after washing it, I discovered that the entire top half of the car from the door handles and above was sprinkled in hardened white paint speckles – you can't see the very tiny spots from a small distance, but get really close and you will.

After speaking to the wife, I believe they could be from the hotel where she leaves the car to go to work (the hotel owns the parking the lot) as they were completing some kind of work, supposedly behind a green net.

I used Iron X, Nanosking and a Flex with Menzerna's Fast Gloss Compound (FG-400) and orange pads, but it didn't really do anything.

My question is, can I do something about it, or is it a lost battle?

This is what I've done up until now:

- Foam And Rinse
-Wash By Hand Two bucket Method
-Rinse, Dry By Hand
-Spray Iron X to decontaminate, wait 10 Minutes and rinse
-Nanoskin Entire Car and Dry
-Machine Compound with FG-400 w/orange pads

What I intended to do after the FG400:

-Machine Polish with Menzerna's SF4000 w/white pads
-Machine Sealant Wolfgang DGPS 3.0
-Machine Wax with Pinnacle Souveran
-Hand Spray Wax Pinnacle Souveran

Try claying. I understand your frustration as this happened to me. The clay did not make it perfect but really helped a lot.

Regular clay. Then start over since you will likely have micro marring from the clay.

Thanks guys. Since the car will be used this week, I'm guessing I have to repeat all the steps sans Iron X and use clay instead of the nanoskin.

Is there any specific kind of clay / lubricant that I should use?

While not popular I have the BlackFire aggressive clay for situation with paint overspray. Use it where you need more help, not the whole vehicle.

BLACKFIRE Poly Clay Bar - Aggressive Grade

Aside from the clay (I was thinking Mother's California Gold Clay Bar System + perhaps a more aggressive clay for stubborn spots like the one proposed from Ebg18t), is there any other chemical spray I can try too?

First thing I'd do is get ahold of the contractor that was spraying and try to find out exactly what is all over your new M3. I'd be pretty livid myself. Hopefully it can be removed by an aggressive clay (3m or Meg's Pro). But if that doesn't work, it may need a solvent wash..
