Hello all, I have been trying to upkeep my weber bbq for the spring and summer. Its practically brand new , but I have light brown etchings in the doors and chrome. I have tried stainless steel cleaner with no luck. How about vinegar ?

I used p21S polishing soap to clean my stainless steel and then Chemical Guys Metal polish to finish it all off. I'll post a couple pics off my phone for ya.

i was gonna ask about this , i have a ss grill and i want to clean it up . Should just about any metal polish work?

Any metal polish should work fine. I would test a small area that is out of the way to make sure it doesn't do anything bad.

@Bill1234.
Vinegar with water I would suggest. try a small area out and see.

metal polish was my goto when I had a shiny bbq.
But the big thing is you have to clean it after every use.

Spray-Away makes a stainless steel cleaner that is great and doesn't remove the brushed ss finish.

well what do you know, my grill is like 10 feet away from a pool. Might need to try vinegar to get surface rust out.

Anybody clean the actual grilling part in an interesting way or just a wire brush

I heard aluminum foil is good. Just lightly wrap the bars (top bars ) in foil and put it on high for about 7 minutes
