quick story had the door repainted lastyear at the dealer bodyshop. i figured they must be good right??? umm noooooo. after they repainted the door . i spent hours upon hours claying and polishing entire truck!!!! overspray everywear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finally was done ..everything was ok intill abou 2 months ago when i saw this.. and sinse the picture was another bubble starting.. went back to the bodyshop. and they said we need to redo entire door. i said ok fine but please take door off i dont feel like claying my truck for days. so they did they had the truck for 4 days they removed all the keypad this time and mirrors .got it back last week with more problems!!!!!!
now i see these little paint bumps . not over spray .. hard to explane tiny bumps pertruding from paint like zits i quess.. looked terrible .. again went back to shop and they said ohhhh we need to (tip it) so they wet sanded them out then grabed the high speed buffer and polished out the sand marks..i went home and bumps were gone but they missed areas with the buffer . and there was polish all over the plastic door handle  i grabed menzerna 106 ff and fixed the spots myself. but door really needs to be buffed out my my with my p/'c when i have time ... so after all this and my staring at door looking for more mistakes i got fed up and went inside ..i give up ..so thats my rant..

Hey Tom, Very sorry to here about this trama. If you look on the positive side of it. At least you had the know how to fix things right and now you can put this behind you. You know the old saying. If you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

thanks and very true!!the fact of the matter is 99 percent of the people getting body work done couldnt care less about over spray or a small bubble.most people are happy if the dents gone and there some paint on it :D

I was happy with my body shop till I started working on the car, and seen all the crap they messed up. First up was the swirls and holograms. Kinda expected those anyways.

Second was the door lock assembly being put back together backwards on one rod, and not even connected on another.

Third was the front bumper, it wasn't reinstalled correctly when they had to take it off to remove the fender (Honda's genius design)! I had to remove the whole bumper and put it back on correctly so it wasn't lipped up over the headlights at the bottom.

And then the fact that they left the car in gear the whole time it set. Thanks guys it's a hydralic clutch, that can mess it up and cause it to loose pressure on the EP3's... And this after I specifically told them not to leave it in gear.

Unfortunatlly a lot of bodyshops don't seem to know their trade. I had one that put a about three inches thick of bondo on my car. When it started to flake off, I made time and fixed it myself. I thought I would save time by going to a body shop after a bad accident, guess I was wrong lol...

Unfortunately, in my opinion there are a lot more hack body shops around then most people think. So many people don't take any pride in their work anymore and if you are not very knowledgeable in auto painting you can bet many body shops will let something slide out the door that should have been addressed before returning the car to the customer in hopes that it isn't noticed, and it probably won't be untill its to late to bring it back to the shop.
