Wow...the only word that comes to mind for this product. I bought the 3 oz size and if I had to nitpick, the ONLY issue I can kinda see with this wax is that the price seems a tad high, and even though the tiny little jar in my hand makes me happy when I'm pretending to be a giant, it makes me sad when I'm priming pads because it is difficult unless you remove the whole wax from the jar. With that said, if I wasn't cheap and had sprung for the bigger jar both of these issues would be resolved :D

The wax goes on like butter and magically wipes away almost like a detail spray, it is very pleasant to work with. I've used the buttery liquid waxes for years and like them, but this is even easier to use than they are. Smells amazing as well. Maybe the term "smooth as a baby's bottom" comes to mind, but hell, baby's butt got nothing on this.

My car has been 2 step polished so it looks dripping wet anyway, like that pool you avoided when you were a kid because you knew the other little kids peed in there. Everyone knows that polishing is what gets you to 95% of the look, but it is that last 5% that is so elusive and decides show winners and losers. Pinnacle truly lives up to its name as far as application and overall paint enhancement. If this wax was a person it would be Chuck Norris because it kicks the ass of all the other waxes...remember you don't wax Chuck Norris, Chuck Norris waxes you.

I've seen some reviews that people say there is no difference in looks after they apply. Now you have to be careful doing a side by side, and it helps not to be visually impaired. If you are use a friend to look at the paint. The change is subtle, and on a flawless paint job it will be even harder to notice but it's there. With that said, apply it to the entire car and then roll it out in direct sunlight, CAUTION: your jaw may drop so low you could trip over it so be careful and employ the use of a safety worker.

If the people at Pinnacle read these reviews, please grant me a stipend for your wax because I am now hooked like a supermodel on rice cakes.

LOL. Colorful review there. I have (and like) Souveran, but on my black *near perfect* Mercedes, its no better looking then Collinite 845.

Both provide a nice wet look.

Regardless, awesome review you gave there.

I have yet to use Souveran on a darker colored paintwork, which I believe is a category where we might find this wax has its advantages towards. I did compound and polish on two separate occasions a light beige and silver colored paintwork where I did apply the wax when I had access to it. Yes, I absolutely loved the application and removal of the product, and it did leave me with a surface that I cannot criticize with regards to aesthetics. But as I look at other products on the market today, the comparison of LSPs that leave me equally as satisfied are much lower in price compared to Souveran. Now, I merely used a sample that I did not pay for, so overall my current review of Souveran is based purely on aesthetics and application of a product that I don't believe has any advantage applying on lighter colored paintworks according to my experience. However, as an avid user of P21s 100% Carnauba, at a little less than half the price (I purchased for $45 P21s), I would think we would be hard pressed to find anything to be any more wet/glowing looking as well as easy to apply and remove to compete against it in quality and economic factors. Maybe Pete's 53, maybe Meguiar's M26, maybe Collinite 915, for products that I have experience with. I will reserve my overall judgement of this particular wax for when I use it on a jet black paintwork, but so far I cannot dock it for ease of use at all. I enjoyed reading your review and experience with Souveran, it really makes me want to try it out on darker paints!

It is indeed one of the best waxes i have used. The reflections are crazy good.

It is a wax that most others still judge themselves against .... its always a contender !! The only challenge is durability, and often user error IMO. Pinnacle wash and spray can and indeed helps it last longer. Best part, its so darn easy to add another coat.

Souverän offers jetting on dark colors most waxes can not match. This is a subtle difference - but it is a difference. Ease of use is high as well.

I have not used it on my wifes dark grand caravan but I've used it on my greystone metallic paint on my Silverado, and I can definitely tell a difference compared to other waxes.

I call it a fluid pool of wet deep depth. It looks fantastic. This thread makes me want to put another coat on my truck...

I also have used it against CG XXX as well, and to be honest could not tell a whole lot of difference between the two (all of my wax applications are on black). Both very easy to apply and remove. And as much as I hate to say it, I never give a wax a chance to test durability, as Im always playing with something new :)

Now, dont get me wrong, Im not tearing it down, as its an awesome wax! And I will always have it in my cabinet!

Glad you like this Pinnacle LSP.
However:
My car has been 2 step polished so it looks dripping wet anyway, like that pool you avoided when you were a kid because you knew the other little kids peed in there.
Really?
Then I would think you would have been more inclined
to have used a Cleaner-Wax instead. :D

I use Souveran on my Torch Red Avanti and love the look it gives...the ease of use is a bonus. The depth, the wet look are great. While not inexpensive, you get up to thirty coats from the standard jar...divide thirty into the cost of one jar and the cost per car is quite reasonable.

:iagree:One of the best waxes....period!! Durability is no issue as I wax 1 time every 4-5 weeks regardless if I need to or not. As for the spray and wash I cannot comment as I have not used them.

The pleasure of using Souveran is worth the price alone as its so smooth and smells so nice.

One thing I have noticed is a few days after applying Souveran, the gloss seems to increase as it cures.

Probably one of my favorite carnuabas and one of the first "high end" waxes I bought when I got into detailing. Pinnacle Souveran has been around for years and is tried and tested. Simple easy to use, fantastic look, and a great smell.

I will always have a jar in my cabinet.

Is it true DP Max Wax looks almost the same?

no. DP Max Wax , IME, will not darken your paint like Souveran paste will. Max Wax is more similar to Pinncale SSII or Fuzion. It works incredibly well to brighten the paint and make metallic stand out more. it has more of a sealant look. I will say the application and removal is just as easy and enjoyable as Souveran though.

IME, Souveran only looks good on black or very dark colored cars. While, light, and warm colored cars are better complimented by the other wax's in the DP, Pinnacle, BF and WG lines.

I know a lot of people will think thats an absurd statement but if you apply Souveran to a white car you will easily see what i'm talking about. It really tones the color down and doesnt have a good look.

hope that helps.

"I don't always wax, but when I do"...I prefer Pinnacle Souveran. Been using it for over 10 yrs on my black and red cars...it looks "mahvelous" (ala Billy Crystal).
