so I bought a new grille for my truck and it's not oem will it last or should I return it the reason why I got a new one is because of this View attachment 28291
If I keep how long do you think it will last? And how should I keep it looking new? Thanks every body for your time and help!

Your new grill should last a long time if not the rest of the vehicles life though once you wipe that chrome plastic the slightest bit there comes the swirling and you really cant remove defects on that material so i would live with the old one for a while more just to give the new grill a longer swirl free life

So if my new grille is going to get scratches should I just stay with the original or will a oem not get swirls? Or what are you saying? And thanks

Im saying stay with the existing grill thats on the truck a little while longer cause buying a new grill whether oem or not Is still gonna swirl up very easily as a result its kinda a waste of money

Ok thanks for your help when would you replace it? And It seems like you replace one before?

I would replace before I was to sell the vehicle or if you gonna keep the vehicle than I would replace it if I get a new vehicle or after a 100k

The truck has 140000 miles and we plan on keeping it so I don't know what to do lol :(

A family member he or she is though I would just replace it then for preventive measures cause you dont want that abs plastic grill to all of the suddent fall off while on the road

If you were in my position what would you do?

I would keep the truck but before I place him or her away in the garage I would change the grill so that every part of the truck is polished and flawless

Meant to put my dad's truck sorry about that but we are getting new headlights for Father's Day and the paint looks good! Can you apply a coat/sealant to the grille? Because I might but a coating on it later and blow dry it and not touch it? I guess that's the only way I can not get scratches on it that way except for washing it

Its alright for the typo and new headlights sounds like a wonderful gift and applying a sealant onto the grill will mask some if not most of the swirling

Ok thanks for the help and time! Really appreciate it!!
