Back in July, I decided to part ways with the Accord. It served me well from just post-COVID until now, but while it was a good-looking car, it never really brought much joy to the driving experience. With both kids now in college, I had to balance fun with practicality for daily use. I seriously considered a few different options, but in the end, going electric felt inevitable. Initially, I was drawn to the Tesla S-Plaid, but let's be real—college is expensive! I also toyed with the idea of the new Highland Performance (you know, my love for 10-second cars), but once again, the cost-benefit just didn’t justify the upgrade.

First world problems aside, I ended up with this great little AWD Long Range Model 3 in Stealth Grey over White. I thought about going with White over White or Red over White, but I've never owned a metallic grey before. While it's not my all-time favorite color, it's growing on me. I might even splurge on some fun summer wheels to spice it up, but for now, I'm loving it.

Of course, I had to put it through my usual new car detailing routine. I sealed it with GYEON Syncro EVO—two layers of MOHS EVO and one of SKIN—plus CarPro Trim Coating and GYEON Q2 RIM on the wheels.

Not too shabby for a grey car! It’s got some serious flake that shows off in the right light, captures blue tones from the sky on sunny days, and darkens up nicely on overcast days. All in all, I’m happy with how it turned out.

My Accord coupe never has and never will provide me joy of driving experience but I do adore the Belize Blue color. Nothing yet has satisfied me yet so I keep it.

Agree. It's a nice color. For me I loved a lot about the Accord but the ride was too stiff, the car not nearly as quiet as I had hoped and the FWD aspect was downright atrocious. I'll never own a FWD only vehicle as a daily again.

Congrats! Some of Tesla's design choices would push me to a different brand, but they are nice to drive from my one experience behind the wheel of a neighbors Model Y.

A couple years ago we had a guy run a dual motor Model3 at some of our autocross events. He put slicks on it and that car was mind-blowingly fast compared to even the best drivers in the fastest gas burning cars.

Thanks. It is a much nicer car than the first gen I had for a short time. This one is so so so much quieter. Mercedes quiet and super smooth. I opted for the stock 18's for that reason. Not the fastest of them but it breaks a lot of hearts. Especially anything below 110mph. It's the big-end where this one loses it's oomph but I don't track it so that's not an issue. Around town it's mind blowing for sure.

If it wasn't for both kids in college at the same time, I'd have a Plaid or at least the Performance Flavor.

I really like the updates they made to the exterior, and I've never seen those wheels before. The design really suits the car well.

I'm glad to hear they are quieter now. My neighbors Model Y is very quiet, but I had a Model3 for a Uber a couple years ago and at highway speed the wind noise was so loud it was hard to talk inside the car.
