Awesome project! I am looking for a '72 Chevelle myself. Cannot wait until I have an extra garage bay so I can work on it.

then you dont want to hear about my other project ;) 73 charger 440 4 speed already own it just need to go pick it up about a 3 hour drive from here but ill be taking it to my grandma's house where the bird is parked right now to have my fun

how much work will you be doing to this car?

dropping in a 454 engine running twin 750 cfm 4 barrel carbs and rebuilding the tranny, tubular k-member and spindles as well as control arms, custom fabricating an engine strut, stripping the interior since it will be a drag car body is in good shape, no rust damage just missing a portion of the back "fin" then i think the paint may just be oxidation if not repaint the car in the same color

Nice project. Are you going to try and restore the paint or just repaint it? I'm surprised people still go with carbs, any particular reason? Nostalgia?

haha ya im sure the detail would be in the area of a grand especially if you look at the interior.....the engine looks clean as compaired to it
