Anyone else do this? I can’t remember when I transitioned to doing this method exclusively but probably got the idea from someone here.

I used the Optimum ONR until last month when I bought some of the Wolfgang SiO2 Uber rinseless.

The rinseless mix is applied with the IK Pro Foam sprayer and I do one panel at a time using the Cobra Heavyweight Buff and Polish towel.

Then I finish up with Optimum Car Wax or something similar. Optimum Car Wax seems to be the absolute easiest and requires the least amount of buffing.

Do I need to go back to the bucket strategy for the rinseless wash? Probably too late for my daily driver since I’ve got about 200k miles doing it this way. Still looks great I think!

Looks like your method works for you on that car and that paint. No reason you couldnt keep it up, but if you see scratching or marring then go back to the "bucket method".

The rinseless dilution is meant to be applied very wet. That is why its in a bucket with a couple of gallons of water.

When applying a rinseless dilution in a sprayer and washing the vehicle in a "waterless" method, I don't believe it has enough "safe" lubrication. Because waterless washes usually have a higher concentration which is usually double the dosage.

Wolfgang doesn't specifically provide a breakdown of dilution ratios for different applications. But its interesting that the directions say that the same rinseless dilution (1:256) can be used for clay lube. For comparison, Mckees N914 is 1:256 for rinseless and 1:128 for waterless/clay lube.

I do both. Spray car down with rinseless then have 7-10 towels in rinseless bucket.

Just like sex…. More lube the better.

I don’t do rinseless very often, but I have a hard time trusting 1:256 dilution. It just doesn’t seem safe enough to me.

I switched to it on my black Ion and Ink Slate metallic Grand prix about a year and and the cars (both coated with different coatings) have never looked so clean. I dont know what it is but Yvan says the ONR rinseless doesnt leave behind soap scum like traditional washes do and I can see that being the case. You should give it a good trial. I also use the LC black sponge designed by Yvan and LOVE IT!!!

I waterless wash. Much neater. I don’t really like dealing with dripping wet towels.

I have a BRS. I’ve used it maybe once.
