I went to this Museum yesterday and took a lot of pics, and thought I would share some here. First, on the way up, I stopped at Iron Valley Harley Davidson and found this on their clearance rack:
After that, I stopped at a local parts store to check it out. I always stop at parts stores when I'm traveling, just to see what they have - you never know. Finally, I found a place with Duragloss products on the shelf, as this has been elusive for me. Picked up this.
Duragloss APC is an excellent value, $7 for 22oz and it mixes 10-20:1. I mixed it 10:1, and its probably the coolest looking color of any product I've diluted.
Anyway, onwards to the museum. The muse was having a special Porsches display, so the pics may be Porsche heavy. I think they have about 100 cars, and an equal (or higher) amount of motorcycles from around the world. Out if all these cars, not a single BMW car! They did have one BMW bike. Some of the cars are owned by the museum and some by private parties - so the displays are always changing.
The museum also had a store that sells a ton of car books, videos, signs, and memorabilia. They also sell Gliptone detailing supplies! From what a know of Gliptone, its a company that has been around since the 1940s and they make OTC detailing products in the OTC price range. I didn't pick any up.
Here are the pics (pics are from an IPhone, and I'm no photographer):
First, my car on the way up:
Some swirls:
This old Ford (Model A?) was bought new by a 17 year old. This single owner drove it for 500k miles and 65 years until he died:
